The use of cellulosic in clothing is more common but flammable. The weight and the fabric of the fireproof clothing material measure flame retardation. Lowly weighty and tight textiles gradually burn as the textiles are loosely woven.
Flammable is of primary importance, especially for textiles. Fabrics are provided with a fireproof finish to prevent burning. When an organic substance under standard conditions is exposed to light or fire, it reacts with oxygen in the air and a combustion reaction takes place. The chemical coated substance interacts with the fire and generates gasses and tars in the event of a fire. The gas and tars thus produced have carbon or charcoal that decelerates the burning speed of the fabric. Naturally, flame retardant material such as cotton can be made into a fireproof clothing material through a chemical coating on the fibers.
